History of Henry Armstrong Boxing Career

There are many stories of past great and famous boxers that have come and gone over the years.  Henry was born on the 12th December 1912, in Missouri.
Armstrong was dynamite in small package when it came to boxing, he was a high pressure deadly punching middleweight boxer with an aggressive boxing style, he threw punches from the begging to the end of every round.  His goal was to knock his man out- if he didn’t manage that, he certainly battered him thoroughly.
Armstrong held three world titles:- Lightweight, Welterweight, Featherweight in a period when only eight weight division existed.  However when he hit stride in the mid 1930’s Armstrong was as good as anyone has ever been, during 1937 he was 27-0 with 26 knockouts.  In 1938 he was 14-0 with 10 smashing knockouts.  From December 1936 until /September 1940 Armstrong compiled a 59-1-1 record, competing against the best boxers in the world.
Armstrong is universally regarded as one of the greatest boxer fighters of all time by many boxing critics and fellow professionals.
