José Luis Castillo born December 14, 1973, Empalme, Sonora is a Mexican boxer. Nicknamed El Temible, Castillo has a boxing record of 61-10-2 with 52 knockouts. He is best known for his grueling fight against Diego Corrales for the WBC-WBO lightweight title unification on May 7, 2005. After announcing his retirement in March 2010 (following a TKO loss to Alfonso Gomez), Castillo returned to action in a fight against Roberto Valenzuela on June 18, 2010 and won the bout by unanimous decision.
